Moisturizing Effect
A dehydration model was constructed by soaking zebrafish in a hypertonic solution, followed by the addition of sample treatment, The moisturizing effect of cosmetics is evaluated by observing whether the tail and trunk of zebrafish in hypertonic solution are dehydrated and wrinkled, and whether the effect of preventing dehydration and wrinkling or promoting recovery. Conclusion: The concentration of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% aloe vera leaf water has moisturizing effects under the experimental conditions.
Tightening Effect
The zebrafish has highly conserved regulatory elastin genes, such as the EIn1 gene, the expression of which varies with the age of the fish. The expression of the EIn gene in 7-day-old zebrafish juveniles is relatively high, so 7-day- old zebrafish juveniles were used as the detection object. Conclusion: The concentration of 25%, 50%, and 100% Aloe vera leaf water increased the relative expression level of Zebrafish EIn1 gene compared with the blank control group.And there was a significant difference (***p < 0.001), indicating that Aloe vera leaf water in Curaçao has a potential tightening effect under the experimental conditions.
