Squalene plays multiple roles in the skin. Distributed throughout the body's organs, squalene is particularly abundant in sebum, with healthy women averaging 12% squalene in their sebum. It is a natural moisturizer, an effective skin barrier, combats free radicals, inhibits sebum peroxidation, and slows skin aging.
Squalane, a hydrogenated form of squalene, perfectly inherits squalene's advantages: skin-friendly, moisturizing, and antioxidant. Its similarity to sebum allows it to easily integrate into the skin, forming a protective film on the skin's surface. It is also more stable and has good compatibility with other ingredients, making it a "universal" moisturizer.
1% Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a component of coenzyme I-NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and coenzyme II-NADP (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate), essential for ATP production. It also plays a crucial role in DNA repair and maintaining skin homeostasis.
Niacinamide helps address acne and pimples. It is also widely used in skin brightening products. However, its benefits extend far beyond this: niacinamide can enhance the efficacy of products for blemished skin, dry and sensitive skin, and anti-wrinkle products.
