Main Ingredient
Agave Americana Stem Extract
Agave Americana stem extract inhibits hyaluronidase, effectively preventing the breakdown of hyaluronic acid in the skin and thus providing moisturizing benefits. It also increases the water content of the stratum corneum, making it suitable for use as a moisturizing agent in cosmetics. Its ability to inhibit free histamine makes it useful as an anti-allergic agent. Additionally, it inhibits the activity of elastase and collagenase, indicating anti-wrinkle properties.

β-Glucan
β-Glucan is a high-purity cell extract. As a skin activator, it is recognized by receptors on the membranes of immunocompetent cells and activates these cells. On aging and wrinkled skin, β-glucan increases epidermal growth factor (EGF), which promotes the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, thereby improving skin appearance and reducing wrinkles.
UV radiation inhibits Langerhans cells in the skin. Prolonged sun exposure can significantly reduce the number and activity of these cells, weakening the skin’s immune defense. In addition to its inherent UV-protective properties and ability to reduce pain and inflammation, β-glucan also promotes the proliferation of Langerhans cells, enhancing the skin’s immune function. Studies have shown that β-glucan offers multiple anti-aging benefits, including promoting fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis, scavenging free radicals, protecting against UV damage, boosting immune defense, and moisturizing the skin.
Beyond stimulating Langerhans cell proliferation to strengthen skin immunity, clinical research has demonstrated that β-glucan also possesses significant anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activity. It helps the skin resist various external mechanical and chemical irritants, and can notably reduce skin allergic inflammation caused by irritating active ingredients such as AHAs.



Sodium Hyaluronate (HA)
Sodium Hyaluronate (HA) is a high-molecular-weight acidic mucopolysaccharide, formed by repeating disaccharide units of N-acetylglucosamine and D-glucuronic acid. It is widely present in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues in animals and humans. Due to differences in molecular weight, HA has significantly different functions in cosmetics. Below is a comparison of the moisturizing effects of different molecular weights of HA in cosmetics.
1.Effect of different molecular weights of HA on skin moisture content
Different molecular weights of HA (at 0.1% concentration) were added to a basic cosmetic formulation as test samples, while the HA-free basic formulation served as a control. The effect of molecular weight differences on skin moisturizing efficacy was compared.

As shown in the graph: The higher the molecular weight of HA, the lower the skin moisture content.

2. Effect of Different Molecular Weights of HA on Skin Water Loss
As shown in the graph: As the molecular weight of HA increases, its effect on reducing skin water loss becomes stronger. High-molecular-weight HA provides the best protection against skin water loss.

3. Effect of Concentration on Skin Moisturizing Efficacy
As shown in the graph: As the concentration of oligo-HA increases, the duration of its moisturizing effect is prolonged. At a concentration of 0.5%, it still shows a significant increase in skin moisture content even after 6 hours of application.

4. Evaluation of Moisturizing Efficacy of HA Combined with Oligo-HA
As shown in the graph: When 0.1% HA is combined with 0.1% oligo-HA in a cosmetic formulation, skin moisture content is significantly increased, and water loss is significantly reduced. The combination of oligo-HA and HA exerts a synergistic effect, showing better moisturizing performance.

Trehalose
Trehalose is a natural sugar, existing both as a free sugar and as a component of various glycolipids. Exogenous trehalose also provides excellent non-specific protection to organisms and biological macromolecules. It effectively preserves the activity of bioactive substances that cannot remain stable at room temperature for long periods, such as bECF (epidermal growth factor) and SOD (superoxide dismutase), thereby enhancing their application value. It prevents protein denaturation and maintains the activity of various protein and peptide-based ingredients. Additionally, trehalose offers outstanding moisturizing properties and stabilizes antioxidants like polyphenols. It scavenges hydroxyl radicals (OH·) generated by α and β radiation, helping to protect cellular DNA from mutations.
